Thanks to SYFY Wire we have our first look at the next Scooby-Doo Direct-To-Video movie, titled The Sword And The Scoob, as well as a description!
When Scooby (Frank Welker), Shaggy (Matthew Lillard), Daphne (Grey Griffin), Velma (Kate Micucci), and Fred (Welker) travel to jolly ol’ England, they come face-to-face with the evil sorceress known as Morgan le Fay (Griffin), who, using the magic of Stonehenge, transports them back to the age chivalrous knights, spell-casting wizards, and fire-breathing dragons.
There, they meet King Arthur Pendragon of Camelot, whose appetite is as legendary as his sword, Excalibur. When Shaggy is suddenly kidnapped by Morgan, Arthur inducts Scooby, Fred, Daphne, and Velma into the Knights of the Round Table, relying on them to stop the witch and save his throne.
Watch it HERE, and we’ll talk about it after!
1st and foremost, that DVD cover is beautiful!
2nd, I’m a wee bit disappointed that, once again, we won’t be getting a Blu-Ray release.
But that aside, I’m super excited for this movie.
I love the easter eggs in this trailer, and I love the medieval Mystery Machine!
It has been rumored for quite some time, but I’m glad to finally have it fully confirmed!
No word on the exact release date just yet, but my best guess, based on previous releases, would be some time in February.
We’ll keep you updated here or on the podcast with more as we get closer to it dropping.
