Hopefully this qualifies because I feel like horror translates to what scares you. My first memory of truly being terrified was courtesy of Aliens. My sister was having a sleepover downstairs in my parents finished basement and being a young brother, I went down there to scare them. I remember it being dark and slowly creeped in there and saw them watching Aliens. I remember the scene vididly: The Marines were looking at the colonist stuck up on the wall when she suddenly woke up and proceeded to have an alien burst out of her. My sister and her friends let out horrific screams, which scared the shit out of me as I was in a trance watching the scene! I remember screaming and running up the stairs for my life. To this day, if an Aliens movie is on tv, I get creeped out and must have lights on.
Zombie… ’nuff said.
